Cuisinart supports OTS

Multiformas, the company that represents the Cuisinart brand in Costa Rica, launched a support campaign for OTS.

On occasion of its new line of environmental products, Green Gourmet, Multiformas together with Hogar Cemaco y Sabores will donate $3 to OTS with the purchase of any 20.000 colones product (around $40).

In this way, these companies will support OTS, specifically the Environmental Education Program at the biological station Las Cruces, in San Vito de Coto Brus, a rural area near the Panamanian border.

This campaign includes education talks about waste management and good use of resources (water, electricity); information stands at the Cemaco stores, and printed material inside Cuisinart products.

According to Multiformas president, Marianela Paniagua, they want to provide useful information to the public so that everyone can contribute to the protection of the environment.

She explained that Green Gourmet is a line of pots and pans whose anti adhesive cover is toxic free; its handles are made up of recycled steel; 30% of energy is saved in its production process and the packages are also recycled materials.

Cuisinart also produces a water filter that reduces pollutants such as chlorine, mercury, cadmium and cooper.
