 The Science Committee is charged with helping OTS meet its vision of catalyzing tropical research to identify and resolve the most challenging problems of the next decades.  In particular, the Science Committee will: (1) increase the synergy and effectiveness of the research enterprise under the OTS umbrella; (2) assist in establishing OTS as a Tropical Knowledge Network that is relevant and accessible; and (3) leverage on-going research and cyberinfrastructure at OTS stations to promote a greater global understanding and iproved stewardship of natural resources in the tropics.
