El objetivo del Día Mundial del Agua 2011 es centrar la atención internacional sobre el impacto del rápido crecimiento de la población urbana, la industrialización y la incertidumbre causada por el cambio climático, los conflictos y los desastres naturales sobre los sistemas urbanos de abastecimiento de agua.

The objective of World Water Day 2011 is to focus international attention on the impact of rapid urban population growth, industrialization and the uncertainty caused by climate change, conflict and natural disasters on urban systems  of water supply.

Water for cities: responding to the urban challenge is the theme of this year, with the intent to encourage governments, organizations, communities and individuals to actively participate in the effort to meet  the challenge of urban water management. See details here
